Visiting Notre Dame Cathedral: No Queues and Easy Access
On my recent trip, I decided to stop by Notre Dame Cathedral. There was no queue in sight, and since the walk-in lane looked completely clear, I headed straight in without needing a booking.
The entry process was incredibly smooth, and I found myself inside the cathedral in no time. Once indoors, I was surprised to find it wasn't nearly as crowded as I had anticipated. Compared to Sacré-Cœur, which usually has much longer lines and a far more hectic atmosphere, this was a breeze.
A Relaxed Experience One Year Later
It has been about a year since I last visited during the soft opening phase. I had been avoiding the area lately after hearing reports of heavy crowds, but I’ve realised it’s actually quite easy to visit spontaneously. It’s a great relief to find such an iconic landmark so accessible.
The on-site shop has also improved significantly, with a much wider range of items on display. Because the cathedral wasn't packed, I could take my time browsing the collection and choosing a few things without feeling rushed. If you're planning a visit, now is a fantastic time to go.
